Is Apple Purposely Hiding the iPhone XS Notch?

More Apple news:

The default wallpaper used for for the new iPhone XS models and their marketing is undoubtedly beautiful. But that’s clearly not why Apple chose it.

It can’t be a coincidence that the black region of the image is perfectly placed to hide the screen cutout.

  1. I really hated the look of notches and the ideas of them until I got my XS. I am not saying that I like them, it just doesn't get in the way. On my homescreen, yes the notch cuts into my background but it gives little exposed windows for the power, connectivity and time tucked away from the rest of it. When watching youtube, black bars run on both sides to almost mimic the vertical chins of old iphones to contrain it to proportions so It doesnt really effect my experience. I don't like the notch, but I dont hate it either.

  2. iPhone 10 is an ultimate performance machine but the notch just killed everything. I wish Samsung use Bionic chips and optimize the Software to match iPhone's performance. If they did, iPhone will face a debacle. Notch is simply unacceptable.

  3. Possibly , a Notch Free XR could have been an even bigger seller. The screen size would have been a little smaller, but still bigger than the earlier plus size iPhones….and also with the new XR features , it could’ve been a huge success.

  4. Honestly, I really don't mind the notch.. It's just that when it comes to movie watching, it would be great if there would be an option where you'll be able to watch full screen but will be cropped on the notch part, so that it wouldn't look awkward, especially to others that find it annoying
